SDA is structured to keep decision-making in the hands of its active members, ensuring that those who contribute meaningfully have the strongest influence over the collective’s future.

Join us in setting the gold standard for community-building, artists supporting artists, and ways to collect & display artwork in the new era of digital art.

  • Artists – Create any type of art that can be shared in a digital format
  • Amplifiers – Expand SDA’s reach through marketing and promotion
  • Agents – Develop sales and business partnerships

Members can hold multiple roles, contributing in ways that best fit their skills and interests.

How to Join SDA:

In a Nutshell

  • To become a Community Member, we ask you submit 5 -10 pieces of artwork from your portfolio.
  • To become a Contributing Member, we also want you to submit a new piece you create based on one of our three current SDA projects: WeatherVaults, Alien Embedded or Chromalumexis.
  • To apply for a non-artist membership position, take a ticket on discord and let us know what type of role you'd like to apply for (see "Roles" above.)..

There are also Guest channels on our server for people who want to engage more casually with the digital art community without becoming an SDA Collective member. So come on by and say hi! (We do have community rules everyone is expected to read and follow.)

Opportunities

Beyond Creation

Participation in SDA extends beyond creating art. The collective is structured to ensure that members who contribute—whether through art, promotion, curation, or technical development—share in its success. Revenue is distributed across artists and support roles, offering multiple pathways to benefit from involvement.

(Scroll down to learn more about revenue distribution.)

How Revenue is Distributed

Supporting Artists, Members, and the growth of the Digital Art Ecosystem

🎨 60% – Artists
The majority of SDA revenue goes directly to Artists who contribute artwork to SDA’s digital feeds, complete commissions, NFT sales, etc. ensuring ongoing income for creators.
🚀 10% – Partner Mutual Growth Exchange Fund
SDA’s Growth Exchange Fund is a mutual support system with its two core technology partners who provide infrastructure and platform development. SDA contributes 10% of revenue in return for reciprocal contributions as partners grow.
💼 25% – Support Members
Moderators, Curators, Amplifiers, Agents, and Operators receive a share of revenue, ensuring that those who help sustain SDA’s growth are fairly compensated.
⚖️ 5% – Legal & Core IT Services
Funds allocated to SDA’s legal, financial, and IT infrastructure to keep contracts, royalties, and operational logistics secure and beneficial for members.
