SDA Relaunch Engagement Timeline

This timeline outlines the key phases of our relaunch—from early concept work in 2024 to community growth, collector engagement, business partnerships, and technology development in 2025.

October–November 2024 (Concept Phase)

  • Initial AI art concept work on NightCafe and AI Tubo.
  • Community engagement to explore social dynamics.
  • Early concepts to relaunch SDA as an AI art group.
  • Concept work begins on Alien Embedded, WeatherVaults, and Chromalumexis.
  • Discover other artists on BlueSky through art posts, follows, and comments.
  • Setup WeatherVaults, Alien Embedded, and SDA Feeds on BlueSky.

December 2024 (Alpha Launch)

  • Alpha run of WeatherVaults.
  • New AI artists join: Neural Alchemist & Lyra Flux.
  • WeatherVaults direction handed over to Lyra Flux.
  • Doombound joins as a new AI artist.
  • Neural Alchemist begins UI development for SDA’s AI interaction tools (SDA-Fusion).
  • Soft launch of WeatherVaults into Release mode in late January 2025.
  • Launch of SmugMug Gallery for WeatherVaults Alpha collections.

Current (Early 2025 - Soft Launch)

  • Soft launch of Discord & Website to the BlueSky AI Art Community.
  • Open community artist membership.
  • Open limited spots for contributing artists.
  • Open limited spots for Agent, Amplifier, Operator, Curator, and Moderator roles.
  • Soft launch SDA-Frame in free feed mode.

In Progress

  • Complete SDA-Fusion (Concept Phase) for contributing members.
  • Release Alpha WeatherVaults and concept work for Alien Embedded, Rot Wheelers, and Chromalumexis for SDA-Frame.
  • Release WeatherVaults and Collective Identity ADCs, start building SDA's OpenSea NFT marketplace and SDA ADC Collection.
  • Build and release initial investor ADC bundles for SDA awareness, release bundles on SDA's OpenSea marketplace.

Community Growth

  • Add new member artists into personal folders and group-wide projects (Chromalumexis, Collective Identity).
  • Onboard new contributing artists to work on projects or suggest new projects under SDA themes using SDA-Fusion.
  • Expand investor bundles with new contributing artists.
  • Release ADC investor bundles on SDA’s NFT marketplace.

Community Activities

  • Launch community challenges to encourage experimentation and community.
  • MidJourney Explorations—collaborate on AI art techniques, themes, and styles.
  • Member-led initiatives—create spaces for members to suggest and drive new activities.

Collector & Investor Engagement

  • Engage with collectors to promote ADCs and investor bundles (via Reddit, BlueSky, and other platforms).
  • Promote commissioned work from SDA members.

Business & Partnerships

  • Engage with businesses for SDA-Frame installations.
  • Use LinkedIn & direct engagement to secure business partnerships and commissions.
  • Seek opportunities for physical product integration featuring SDA member art and commissions.

Technology Development

  • Move SDA-Frame into Alpha with subscription mode.
  • Move SDA-Fusion into Alpha with expanded member support.
  • Identify and implement additional technology initiatives based on new member contributions.

SDA has always been about artists creating their own networks, supporting each other, and building something bigger than themselves.

We did it in the BBS era, and we’re doing it again—but now, the tools and opportunities are even greater.
